Spindle cell carcinomas are biphasic tumors of monoclonal origin with mesenchymal component proved to be the dedifferentiated forms of conventional squamous cell carcinomas. This unusual variant of squamous cell carcinoma usually presents in the larynx, but are also infrequently reported in the gingiva, tongue, lips, hypopharynx and nasal cavity.
